The Challenge

The client engaged RLA Engineering with an ambitious ask: to design high-end, multi-function luggage. The goal was to disrupt the traditional premium luggage market by integrating novel mechanical features that addressed specific modern travel challenges. The client was just in the mechanical concept phase for this project and did not know what, if any, embedded electronics would also be needed.

The Solution

Our mechanical engineering team worked closely with the client to understand the exact physical constraints and functional goals of the product. We delivered a robust mechanical design that successfully enabled the product's highly unique use case requirements. This involved conceptualizing and refining complex mechanical assemblies that could withstand the rigors of global travel while delivering seamless, multi-functional utility to the end-user.
